What is the cost for registration?

The regular registration fee for our Fall and Spring outdoor leagues is typically $115.00. Late registration fee is $130.00. Dates for registration are posted on the website. However, from time to time, we may offer early registration incentives. Please check the registration page for discounts.

Where does TeamX Eastern Lehigh hold games?

All of our games, starting with our 2011-2012 Winter Indoor session, are played at Hanover Township Community Center. Please see the directions section of this website.

What is included with my registration fee?

Each participant will receive an NFL style jersey which is theirs to keep. They also receive a flag belt to keep as well. Starting with the Spring 2013 season, we will also be purchasing a small trophy for every player.

Am I required to do any fundraising?

No. You do not have to do any fundraising. You do not have to do any snack stand duty. Your job is to watch your child have fun playing NFL Flag Football!

Are there multichild discounts?

If a family has three or more children registered the following discounts will apply: The first two children pay full price. The third child is 50% off, the fourth child plays free of charge.

What are the age brackets?

Age divisions are ultimately determined by the number of participants, but ideally the league strives for the following:

6 and under coed

8 and under coed

What time can I expect my child to play?

Our Fall and Spring leagues have games on Saturday mornings into early afternoon, every hour on the hour starting at 10:00 AM. Younger teams play first. Older teams play last.

How do I determine my child's playing age?

For all sessions, age is determined as of the first day of games for the season we are currently playing. Players may not move up early without special notification and waivers and even then, it is frowned upon. Players can never play down.

Who is eligible to play TeamX Flag Football?

Anyone who is the appropriate age is welcome.

How long are the games?

Games are 50 minutes in duration in the outdoor Spring and Fall leagues. Games are 30 minutes in lenght with no half times in the winter league. Time outs and half times are worked into these times.

When are the games?

Games are on Saturday mornings for our outdoor leagues and begin promptly at 10:00 AM and go every hour on the hour. We usually start with the youngest age groups first and work our way up. For our winter indoor league, we have games on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-3 PM. Games are 1/2 hour in lenghth during the winter and do not have halftimes. If a team is scheduled for a Saturday game, odds are they will be every Saturday. If Sunday, then same thing.

Can I request my child to play with a group of his friends?

Yes. However, the league reserves the right to modify teams in order to maintain a competitive balance. We will do our best to accomodate your first request. We will guarantee your first request provided the request is also requested by the other party. You may request more than 1 person and most of the time all of these requests are honored.

What is the practice schedule?

Practice dates and times are determined by coaches, however, coaches will be asked to hold no more than two practices per week prior to the season and one practice a week once the season begins. Once the season begins coaches are asked to hold no more than one practice per week. During our outdoor leagues, practices are typically on weeknights or even before the games on Saturdays. The practices for the outdoor leagues are usually between 1-1.5 hours depending on the age group. Our winter session prcatices are all held at Habover Township Community Center and are 45 minutes in length. The winter practices are weeknights only and will fall between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

May I request a coach?

Many of the players in previous seasons request to come back and play for their former coach. Attempts are made to accomodate these requests provided the coach is actually coaching that particular season, and the league determines that it does not create an unfair playing advantage.

Will there be playoffs?

The emphasis in this league is first and foremost Fun, and Equal Playing Time for all participants. Therefore, to avoid a conflict with this philosophy there are no playoffs in this league. From time to time, we may have a fun tournament.

Does my child need previous football experience?

No previous football experience is required. The pledge of the league is that each child will receive equal playing time regardless of experience.

What are the uniforms required?

The uniform requirement is for the participant to wear his/her team jersey.

What equipment is required to play?

Protective mouth guards are required to be worn at all times. Non-metal cleats are also required to ensure traction underfoot in our outdoor leagues. Many players elect to wear shorts, or sweat pants. During cool spring and fall mornings under armor is also desirable to wear under team jerseys. Wide receiver gloves are also acceptable for playing. Our indoor winter league rewuires players to wear sneakers.

How many players are permitted on one team?

The league targets a maximum number of 10 to ensure quality playing time for everyone.
